What made you want to sell kits rather than just finished products?​

     "Making and designing kits, patterns, and all the components that go inside is really gratifying. I also like helping people find a new hobby or continue their interest in it. I really like receiving messages on social media from people who have finished my kits and had a fun time doing it, they always seem so proud and it makes me feel proud too! "

​Can you explain your process for making each pattern/chart?​

​

     "Usually we base our patterns on what we are interested in, sometimes they might be based on customer feedback, if a lot of people ask for it usually we try to make a pattern. Once the design is finished they always get sewn to make sure they look good! We also use those finished pieces for marketing/packaging."

What is the biggest challenge you have faced with this career?

​

     "All of the kits are handmade, so a lot of time is spent designing the pattern, making them, etc. There are of course the regular self employed challenges, lots of trial and error but eventually you figure it out and it becomes very rewarding in so many ways."

Is there any advice you would give to other artists?

​

     "Do lots of research and always ask questions! "

     "Sometimes you have to try something a few times before it works, learn from the previous times and keep making it better."
